Good food, service, and atmosphere. So many gluten free options. Although they do need to update their website with the current offerings. The duck was amazing as well as the gazpacho. Everyone loved their meal here.

I’ve been in Vermont for 10 years and this is some of the best food I’ve had here. everything from the caesar salad to the cocktails to the entrees were exceptional and for a quite reasonable price with the prix fixe twilight dinner (I can’t believe the wagyu steak is included in that deal, its phenomenal). service was lovely. the only downside (which is obviously so minor) is that the decor/atmosphere/ambience feel super dated, poor lighting. I went in to the meal with lower expectations because of that and I’m so glad I was proven wrong. will be back.

First let me say I dove into the food before I pictured it. Sorry. OK, we went to Electra’s on 11/23/2024, for dinner. We were promptly seated. The restaurant is lovely, clean and maintained well. We initially ordered a glass of wine and an old fashioned. Delightful. Our waitress was very well informed about the menu and helped us decide. We need up getting the cheese plate as a warm up, salmon and pork loin schnitzel for dinner. Serving sizes are HUGE, extremely tasty and overall yummy. It was a pleasant surprise, honestly. We did not get dessert because the mains were so filling. Overall, a great experience. Highly recommended.

Electra in Shelburne delivers an exceptional dining experience that feels tailor-made for special occasions. Despite a packed house—likely due to college graduations and prom night—the restaurant held its own with steady service and outstanding food. We started with the Slider Trio, each mini bite offering a distinct and flavorful twist: the bison slider with caramelized onion and blue cheese was bold and rich; the duck with cherry compote and chèvre was beautifully balanced with a touch of sweetness; and the Wagyu, with its classic American cheese, pickle, and secret sauce on a soft sweet roll, was pure comfort food with a gourmet edge. The Green Mountain Boucher Blue cheese plate was a pleasant surprise—creamy and mild with just enough complexity to make it interesting, revealing hints of chestnut, truffle, and white pepper. It’s a great choice for those who appreciate artisan cheeses without the overpowering bite. For entrees, the Crispy Prosciutto Stuffed Quail was a standout. The quail was perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside—and the cheddar herb dumplings bathed in a cider-Calvados reduction brought a Vermont-forward, seasonal flair to the dish. It was comforting, elegant, and richly layered. The Wagyu Steak Frites was equally impressive. The Australian Wagyu was tender and flavorful, enhanced by a luscious port wine demi-glace. Paired with crispy fries and fresh haricot verts, it hit all the right notes for a steakhouse classic done right. Electra is definitely on the higher-end side—expect to spend a bit more—but the quality of ingredients, thoughtful preparation, and refined atmosphere make it worth it. Whether you’re celebrating something special or just indulging in a top-tier meal, this spot delivers.

The roasted duck breast dish was excellent. It came with 5 other side dishes, which were very good, however, not all of them complimented the duck. I would gladly order it again.

Absolutely a new favorite to add to the rotation :-) With amazing ambience, chef inspired dishes, delicious cocktails, it’s everything you’re looking for! Perfect for an intimate date night or dining with friends:)

Huge shout out to our phenomenal waitress Taylor! My husband and I went to The Friendly Toast in downtown Burlington the morning of our 8-year wedding anniversary, and Taylor happened to be our waitress she was not only friendly and attentive but extremely excited to celebrate with us our anniversary and make a great experience for brunch. She then happened to mention that she works at another restaurant in the evenings titled Electra. We had never been to Burlington before and we had decided to venture that way rhe day after, since we already had reservations at another Italian restaurant nearby well truth be told we should have absolutely gone there for anniversary but ended up making reservations anyway since she spoke so highly of it and they had duck on the menu which happens to be our favorite! When we arrived the day after our anniversary Taylor was thrilled as were we since the interior and exterior of the building were beautiful and the dinner exceeded expectations! Just a bit too spicy for my liking regarding the slaw but we did get the duck and it was cooked perfectly exactly how we like it!!! the atmosphere was stunning the older Victorian building had all the perfect touches and had been newly renovated she also was able to light the fireplace for us which made everything even more romantic and we had a little private table in the corner. My husband and I live in New Hampshire and mentioned over and over again this place would be our go to spot 100% if we live nearby!!! and we just want to give a huge shout out to Taylor and the chef for an exceptional experience and for truly making our anniversary weekend very special.
